Beniuny Manor today

The Benuny farmstead is located on the edge of village Benuny amid picturesque hills in relative proximity to two European capitals – 110 km from Minsk and 90Bkm from Vilnius. From a tourist perspective, it has a good location being part of the historic corridor Krewo-Boruny-Golshany (15 km from Krewo and 10 km from Golshany).

The hill affords a grand view of the surrounding area, especially Krewo with its castle dating from the 14th century built by Grand Duke of Litva Gediminas and the castle of the 17th century in Golshany built by Paul Stephen Sapega. A visit to the estate is a fine windup of the tourist route Krewo-Boruny-Golshany. The guests attend the historical exhibition, dine and take part in the show associated with historic events and contests (arrow- and crossbow shooting, axe throwing, jousts).

The territory is large enough to offer space to several hundreds of visitors at a time (during jousts, music performances and other lively public events).

The structures located in the grounds of the farmstead include:

1) Manor house of the Karczewski family dating from 1828, size 25X15m. First level is built from quarry stone, second level – from timber with a mansard on the third level. The construction has a slated roof;
2) a park with old poplars, limes and rare trees;
3) an apple orchard;
4) ruins of an old windmill;
5) an old pond;
6) a system of WWI blockhouses and trench shelters made by German soldiers.
